EHL Ball Carriage Assembly
Replacement ball carriage assembly.
EHL Ball Bearings
During the test, the ball rolls on an arrangement of 3 ball bearings (the ball carriage). Replacement of these bearings (EHDBCBRG) should be done in complete sets of 3.
EHL Ball Drive Shaft
The EHD ball drive shaft and securing screw is used to drive the drilled ball (BALLD) when slide-roll in required in the contact - most often when using the EHL rig in Traction mode.
EHL Ball Shaft Oil Seal Assembly
This is a spare ball shaft oil seal assembly - found inside the EHL test reservoir.
EHL Lubricant Temperature Probe
A replacement lubricant temperature probe (RTD Type PT100).
EHL Pot Temperature Probe
A replacement pot (lubricant reservoir) temperature probe (RTD Type PT100).
EHL Grease Scoop
PTFE part that allows grease to be fed through the contact while testing on the EHD. Replacement grease scoop spring can be obtained - Part Code EHDGSS.
EHL Spherical Roller Carriage
The EHL Spherical roller carriage is used to support the spherical roller specimen (EHDSRC) when measuring film thickness under elliptical contact conditions.
EHL 3D SLIM Mapper System
The 3D SLIM Mapper System is an extension of the capabilities of the current PCS EHD system. The EHD system currently measures the central film thickness of a fluid in a contact. The 3D SLIM Mapper allows a complete three-dimensional map of the film thickness to be generated from digital pictures of the contact.
EHL Colour camera
Colour camera and associated accessories to allow direct video footage of the contact to be displayed. This output can be recorded on a VCR for further analysis.
EHL Oil Cooler
This Haake oil cooler is manually controlled and enables the user to rapidly cool down the test cell after testing at high temperature. This gives the user quicker access to the system for cleaning and setting up for the next test.
EHL Undrilled 3/4" AISI 52100 Precision Steel Ball
Undrilled 3/4" AISI 52100 precision steel ball for use with film thickness testing (Ultra).
EHL Highly Polished 3/4" Diameter Drilled Steel Ball
EHL Super Finish Spherical Roller
A super finish spherical roller (for use with EHDSRC). An elliptical contact geometry is seen when using this roller. Lower contact pressures than those seen when using the ball are also achievable.
EHL Highly Polished EHD Steel Traction Disc
This is a highly polished EHD steel traction disc for use with EHDBDS and BALLD. Traction data can be recorded on the ball drive shaft when running the EHL rig under slide-roll conditions.
EHL Plain Chromium Coated Disc
This is an EHD plain chromium coated disc. This is used for both defining the spectral response curve and creating the master calibration curve for the 3D Mapper (EHD3DMAP).
EHL Standard Spacer Layer Disc
This is the standard EHD spacer layer disc and is used when the EHL rig is in film thickness measurement mode.
