HFRR Upper Specimen Holder
Replacement Upper specimen holder that holds the upper specimen, which is normally a 6.0 mm diameter ball. The upper specimen is held in place by a small grub screw.
HFRR Lower Specimen Holder
Replacement Lower specimen holder that holds the lower specimen, which is normally a 10 mm diameter disc held in a recess in the specimen holder. The lower specimen is retained by two button headed socket screws. The specimen holder is clamped to the heater block by two socket head cap screws. An angled hole in the left side of the specimen holder provides location for the main RTD used to measure the lower specimen temperature. Holds approximately 5ml of fluid.
Upper and Lower Specimen Holder Set
Upper and lower specimen set as described above.
HFRR Weight Set
Replacement HFRR Weight Set (1Kg) comprising of 100g weights.
HFRR Main RTD Temperature Probe
A 1.6 mm diameter main RTD is used to measure the lower specimen temperature during a test and is used by the HFR-PC software to control the heater power.
For systems with s/n: D184 to present.
HFR2 Main Thermocouple
Replacement 1.5mm main thermocouple probe for HFR2 systems.
For systems with s/n: D183 or lower.
HFR2 Alarm Thermocouple
Replacement alarm thermocouple connecting cable for HFR2 systems.
For systems with s/n: D183 or lower.
HFRR RTD connecting cable
Replacement RTD connecting cable that connects the HFRR control unit to the mechanical unit.
For systems with s/n: D184 to present.
HFRR Multiway Cable
Replacement multiway cable that connects the HFRR control unit to the mechanical unit.
For all systems.
HFRR Serial Cable
Replacement serial cable for HFRR software. This cable enables communication from a PC to the HFR control unit when using the HFRR software.
HFRR Pushrod Insert
Replacement Pushrod insert for the HFRR mechanical unit.
Pins are also available separately.
HFRR Microscope Wear Scar Measurement Camera
The microscope camera is an optional accessory for HFRPC which allows the user to capture calibrated images of a wear scar and measure the wear scar on the PC screen.
HFRR Automatic Humidity and Temperature Probe
An optional combined humidity and temperature probe can be connected to the rear of the HFRR control unit to automatically measure the ambient temperature and humidity at the start and end of the test.
Probe (HFRHUM) and cable available separately.
HFRR PC Data Logging System
Optional PC including data logging software and communications cable.
HFRR Humidity Controlled Cabinet
The HFR Humidity Controlled Cabinet is designed as an accessory for the HFR to allow tests to be carried out at constant temperature and relative humidity.
HFRR Microscope
The microscope is a standard metallurgical microscope with a single x10 objective and a single x10 eyepiece lens (x100 magnification).
HFRR Gasoline Conversion Kit
An optional accessory that can be installed on the HFR mechanical unit to test gasoline or larger quantities of fluids (15ml) compared to the standard lower specimen holder HFRLSH.
HFRR High Temperature Option
For testing specialised lubricants we offer a high power heater option which allows tests at temperatures up to 400°C.
HFRR Mini Printer
An alternative to the PC option, the HFRR mini printer provides an uniquely identified hardcopy report of test results.
HFRR Calibration Device
This multipurpose calibrator allows simple recalibration of Stroke length, Force transducer (friction) and Contact resistance (film). The Calibration device is supplied with pillar and stroke length gauge.
Recalibration recommended every 2 years.
HFRR Calibration Temperature Plugs
These temperature calibrators simulate the resistance of the RTD temperature probe at the lower calibration set point of 0°C and higher set point of 62°C.
CEC Low Lubricity Reference Fluid (CEC-DF-70-00)
Conforming to CEC standard 'F-06-A-96'. Supplied in 0.5L cans. This fluid has poor lubricity characteristics and produces a large wear scar. Please refer to the specification sheet (supplied with the fluid) for HCF, wear scar values and range.
CEC High Lubricity Reference Fluid (CEC-DF-90-A-92)
Conforming to CEC standard 'F-06-A-96'. Supplied in 0.5L cans. This fluid has good lubricity characteristics and produces a smaller wear scar than the low lubricity reference fluid. Please refer to the specification sheet (supplied with the fluid) for HCF, wear scar values and range.
ASTM Low Lubricity Reference fluid B (D6079)
Conforming to ASTM standard 'D6079'. Supplied in 1.8 litre 0.5 US gallon cans.
ASTM High Lubricity Reference fluid A (D6079)
Conforming to ASTM standard 'D6079'. Supplied 1.8 litre 0.5 US gallon cans.
HFRR Standard Specimen Pack
The standard specimen pack (HFRSSP) comprises 100 upper and 100 lower specimens. Upper and lower specimens for use in the HFRR are manufactured to comply with CEC and ASTM standards.
The HFR specimens can also be manufactured from other materials.
HFRPC Software
HFRPC is designed for the user who is primarily interested in diesel fuel lubricity testing. This application allows the user to control the instrument from the PC, specifying which test procedure to run and starting and stopping the test. The application logs all of the test data and saves the completed test along with the measured wear scar diameter for future reference.
AutoHFR Software
AUTOHFR is designed for the user who needs complete flexibility in defining test procedures. AUTOHFR allows the user to define a test as a number of steps, each step can have varying temperature, stroke length and frequency. AUTOHFR is typically used for testing lubricants rather than fuels.
