HSV (High Shear Viscometer)

Overview
The High Shear Viscometer (HSV) is capable of measuring viscosity at shear rates of up to 1 Million reciprocal seconds (106 s-1) using a novel, patented measurement technique. The instrument can perform HTHS measurements equivalent to ASTM standards D4683 and D4741 at 106 s-1 and 150°C and also D6616 at 106 s-1 and 100°C.
A once and for all calibration of the rotor and stator is made at the start of operation. This calibration is then used for all subsequent measurements. The measurement sequence is completely automatic, controlled by a built in microprocessor.
With the optional autosampler and PC software, any combination of temperatures and shear rates within the operating range of the instrument can be pre-programmed and the instrument left unattended to complete the measurements. If the instrument is used in its standard mode, then the operator simply has to pipette in the calibration sample when prompted.
Key Features
